10 Disgusting Kentucky Derby Hats
The Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs is one of the most elegant and regal sporting events in the world, and the high fashion involved reflects that. This is not a t-shirt and jeans affair. Suits, dresses and gowns are a must, and hats for the ladies to protect them from the sun are always in style. Unfortunately, some of these hats look straight up ridiculous.
1) The Flower
Look at the woman all the way to the left. That’s not a hat! That’s a bunch of petals and an invitation for bees to come swarm that awful excuse for a hat.
And notice how the two petals near her forehead make us notice her gigantic nose?
2) The Pimp Hat
Why are there green and blue feathers on the hat of the woman to the right? Put that hat on a man in Vegas and give him a cane and you’d think he wanted an estimate on some of the ladies.
3) The Oven Mitt
Look at the woman all the way to the left. She went into her kitchen, grabbed an oven mitt and placed it on her head. How does it stay up there? Cute girl, oven mitt hat.
4) The WTF??!
You may not notice this hat because it’s behind all that cleavage. But look in the background. What the hell is on that elderly lady? I don’t even know how to describe it, but it’s grotesque.
Not the cleavage, that can stay.
5) The Mushroom Cap
Is this woman trying to make her hat a hot air balloon for an easy getaway after the race? The white and black big floaty thing makes it look like her hat it a gigantic mushroom with colorful flowers stemming out of it. How can people take her seriously?
6) The Wedding Dress
We like Miss Kentucky. You stay the way you are, ma’am. But for the lady on the right, the flowing fabric and the flowers coming out of that thing on her head looks like she’s going to get married. You could strangle her with that wedding dress perched on her noggin.
7) The Forest
What would possess this woman to cut down trees, branches, plants and flowers and place it on top of her hair? It looks like she’s having a good time, so perhaps this picture was taken before the birds and bugs came in and nested.
Eight- The Parade Of Roses
See the tats and the earrings on this old woman? This b***h is crazy! Her hat has a ton of odd looking roses in it, but you have to credit her individuality.
9) The Lampshade
It looks like this woman is joking, and we really hope she is. That’s a lampshade she’s wearing on her head and if she wasn’t holding that hat up, that thing would cover up her entire face and she wouldn’t be able to see.
10) Storm Trooper Sombrero
Some guy or girl had the guts to wear a Star Wars suit, since the day before was May The Fourth and Derby Day this year came out on Cinco De Mayo. So this outfit is ridiculous…ly awesome!
