-Arizona is talking to several teams interested in Justin Upton who would provide SS help. The Cliff Lee rumor is false, says Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr.
-The Yankees are interested in Kevin Youkilis, but the sides aren’t close on money.
-Minnesota is interested in Shawn Marcum.
-The Reds and Ryan Ludwick don’t seem too far apart.
-Hiroyuki Nakajima is looking for a three-year contract.

-The Phillies and Diamondbacks are discussing a Cliff Lee-Justin Upton trade, according to Pedro Gomez, which could become a three or four-team trade. However, Nick Piecoro says these talks aren’t going on.
-Boston is in a good position to sign Shane Victorino, says Jerry Crasnick.
-Seattle really liked Michael Bourn, says Jon Heyman.
-The Mets could get SS Dee Gordon and SP Zack Lee from the Dodgers for R.A. Dickey, says John Harper.
-The Giants, Cardinals and Yankees are in on Marco Scutaro, says Danny Knobler.
-Atlanta signed C Matt Pagnozzi to a minor league deal.

-Boston offered Shane Victorino three years and $38 million and lead the Indians for his services, Nick Cafardo reports.
-Texas is discussing a four or five-year deal for Josh Hamilton, and that he’ll come back to the Rangers for a final offer if another team is ahead.
-Seattle met with Scott Boras discussing Michael Bourn and the Mariners and Diamondbacks were discussing a Jason Kubel trade.
-The Mets and R.A. Dickey are still apart on money.
-The Angels are interested in Jason Grilli, but not for such a large price.

-Shane Victorino is down to three teams, and Jon Heyman says that two of them are the Indians and Red Sox.
-The bidding on Marco Scutaro is up to three years and $24 million, says Buster Olney. The Giants are in the lead with said offer, but the Yankees are also involved.
-The values of players like Shin-Soo Choo, who are only under control for one year, is diminished according to Ken Rosenthal.
-Jeff Keppinger will get at least $8 million for two years, with the Yankees among the teams involved in the bidding.
-So far, the Pirates have been unable to get a top pitching prospect from Seattle for Garrett Jones. Pittsburgh joins the Mets among the teams interested in trading for Milwaukee reliever Manny Parra.
-Eric Hinske will make roughly $1 million with Arizona.

-The Giants are interested in Nick Swisher, Scott Hairston and Ryan Ludwick. Jon Heyman says San Francisco is the favorite to land Swisher with the Red Sox right behind.
-The Mets expect to get a large package back for R.A. Dickey, says Joel Sherman.
-Cleveland is trying hard to sign Shane Victorino to a four-year deal.
-Washington is only going two years on Adam LaRoche, and that should get it done.
-The Mets are interested in Milwaukee lefty reliever Manny Parra.

-Texas and Josh Hamilton are making progress on a four-year deal, Ken Rosenthal says. If they re-sign Hamilton, Jim Bowden thinks it’s possible that they offer Elvis Andrus in a trade for Justin Upton.
-Seven teams, most notably the Indians and Red Sox, are in on Shane Victorino.
-While Eric Hinske has signed with the Diamondbacks, they could trade Jason Kubel by as soon as today. Arizona also has interest in original D-Back Rod Barajas.
-The Yankees are very interested in Jeff Keppinger.
-Jason Bay is close to signing a deal with the Mariners.
-The Phillies are looking for two outfielders and a third baseman. Washington is looking for a sixth starter type.

-The Red Sox and Angels are interested in Kyle Lohse, says Jon Heyman.
-The Mariners and Phillies are among the teams interested in Michael Bourn.
-The Mets are offering Ryan Ludwick a two-year deal at $6-7 million per, but the Reds are favored. The Mets have also shown interest in pitcher John Lannan.
-The Yankees could have interest in Kevin Youkilis.
-The Dodgers are looking at a 3B or a SS.

-Jim Bowden says it’s down to the Rangers and Red Sox for Josh Hamilton with the Yankees as a dark horse.
-Cleveland has emerged as a prime candidate for Shane Victorino. The Red Sox, Cubs and Yankees are also interested.
-The Mets continue to go after Royals super-prospect Wil Myers in R.A. Dickey trade talks, with little success. There are “increased expectations” that Dickey will be traded, according to Bowden.
-The Orioles, Rays and Mariners would be interested in trading for Mike Morse.
-The Dodgers could be a possibility for Rafael Soriano.
-The Yankees and Cardinals are interested in Marco Scutaro. Buster Olney says there’s no way Stephen Drew would sign with the Yankees.
-Michael Young is on the trade block, Evan Grant says. Ditto for Jhoulys Chacin of the Rockies and Gavin Floyd of the White Sox.
-Seattle has interest in Nate McLouth.
-The Rays avoided arbitration with Sean Rodriguez for $1 million.

-The Dodgers and Rangers are the two most likely teams on Zack Greinke.
-Oakland will meet with the agents for Hiroyuki Nakajima while still going after Stephen Drew and Yunel Escobar.
-The Mets have interest in trading for Cleveland reliever Vinny Pestano. They’ve also talked with the Royals about relievers.
-The Dodgers, Giants, Brewers, Angels and Rays are among the teams interested in reliever Mark Lowe.

-Washington signed starter Dan Haren for one year and $13 million, Ken Rosenthal reports. This could take the Nats out of the running for starters like James Shields, Zack Greinke and R.A. Dickey. Haren will replace Edwin Jackson in the rotation.
-There has been interest in Scott Kazmir.

-The Dodgers, Angels, Tigers, Red Sox and Royals are among the six teams interested in Anibal Sanchez. Boston also has interest in Kyle Lohse.
-The Reds will meet with Ryan Ludwick today.

-Arizona has been aggressive in shopping Justin Upton, but no team has been willing to give up the SS they’re looking for yet.
-Mets GM Sandy Alderson wants a resolution on R.A. Dickey ASAP but chances are that they keep him, says Andy Martino.
-Texas is willing to part with Mike Olt, says Jon Morosi.
-The Mariners, Mets, Yankees, White Sox and Dodgers are in the market for a catcher. Jarrod Saltalamacchia is on the block.
-Ian Stewart is drawing interest as a third baseman.
-KC is looking for a veteran utility IF.

-Eight teams talking with the Mets about R.A. Dickey, according to Jon Heyman: The Royals, Orioles, Rangers, Dodgers, Diamondbacks, Red Sox, Blue Jays and Nationals. New York wanted SS Xander Boegarts and OF Jackie Bradley for Dickey, which is a very high price. Toronto has J.P. Arencibia and Anthony Gose.
-The chances of the Rays trading a starter is now more likely, says Jon Heyman.
-Baltimore has interest in Washington OF Michael Morse.
-The Yankees are interested in bringing back Eric Chavez.
9:30 a.m. Eastern
-Adam Rubin believes that R.A. Dickey will stay with the Mets unless they’re “bowled over.” They may not be able to sign him to an extension, especially if he wants three years, but they are optimistic about re-signing Scott Hairston.
-Billy Butler talk to Seattle is overblown, says Jerry Crasnick.
-Miami won’t be trading Ricky Nolasco, even if he does want to be dealt. Yunel Escobar is a different story. The Rays, A’s, Cubs and Yankees are interested, though New York may not be and Oakland is also in talks with Stephen Drew. Miami also has interest in Mark Reynolds.
-Possible 3B options for the Yankees, as per Joel Sherman: Stephen Drew, Eric Chavez, Hiroyuki Nakajima, Jeff Keppinger and others.
-Philadelphia appears desperate for outfield help.

-With a ton of quality pitching prospects and money to spend on hitters, the Seattle Mariners are becoming ambitious. They met with Josh Hamilton, with Texas and Milwaukee also interested, they met with Arizona on a Justin Upton trade (Arizona may just trade Jason Kubel instead) and are interested in Brennan Boesch and Jason Bay.
-Boston also has interest in Hamilton, along with three to four other teams, and have interest in Cody Ross and Shane Victorino.
-With the needs the Yankees now have, they’re listening on offers for Curtis Granderson according to Buster Olney. New York also has interest in Marlins SS Yunel Escobar but they’re far from alone. The Cubs, Rays and A’s are also interested.
-The Diamondbacks and Mets talked about a R.A. Dickey trade, but did not get far. The Mets also called Bobby Parnell untouchable.
-Cleveland is looking for four players in an Asdrubal Cabrera trade, says Paul Hoynes. They’re also still listening to offers for Chris Perez, Justin Masterson and Shin-Soo Choo. The Indians could like St. Louis and Oakland pitchers in a trade for Cabrera. San Diego has interest in Masterson and Ubaldo Jimenez.
-The Angels are among the teams in on Edwin Jackson.
-San Diego is looking to keep Chase Headley long term.
-Oakland has interest in Hiroyuki Nakajima as well as Brandon McCarthy, but they have competition for the starter from the Red Sox, White Sox, Cubs, Twins, Diamondbacks and Royals.
-St. Louis has interest in Marco Scutaro and could trade Skip Schumaker if they get him.
-The White Sox are looking for a 3B and a lefty hitter.
-Minnesota is close to signing a 3B and they also have interest in Brett Myers, Kevin Correia, John Lannan and other starters.
