-James Shields will likely stay with the Rays, says Jon Heyman.
-The A’s, Orioles and Yankees are interested in Rafael Betancourt, says Troy Renck. The Angels, White Sox and Braves also want relief help.
-Kevin Correia has requested a trade from Pittsburgh.

-Texas, Baltimore and San Francisco are in on the relief market according to Ken Rosenthal. The Rangers are looking to put Alexi Ogando into the rotation.

-A couple of trades to announce. Oakland got a solid catcher in George Kottaras from Milwaukee, but it cost them pitching prospect Fautino De Los Santos. *Arizona upgraded at 3B by acquiring Chris Johnson from Houston for two minor league OFs.

-San Diego will keep Huston Street on a two-year contract extension worth $14 million.
-San Francisco has interest in Shane Victorino and Hunter Pence, Jon Heyman reports.
-The Mets could have traded for Francisco Rodriguez two weeks ago but declined, Heyman says. *Atlanta has interest in Mets OF Scott Hairston.

-The White Sox made waves on Saturday night by sending a couple of low grade minor leaguers to Minnesota for Francisco Liriano. Chicago has now acquired Kevin Youkilis, Brett Myers and Liriano this season. Ken Williams knows when to go for it and the weak AL Central is absolutely there for the taking.
-With the Cubs and Dodgers at a stalemate regarding Ryan Dempster, the Braves could jump back in, says Jon Heyman.
-Philadelphia is still weighing whether to trade Shane Victorino and other pieces, Danny Knobler reports.
-Teams still interested in Chase Headley include the Orioles, Athletics, Indians, Pirates and, to a lesser extent, the Yankees. Jim Bowden reports that the Padres are leaning towards keeping Headley and Huston Street unless things change.
-The Yankees and A’s were interested in Marco Scutaro before the Giants got him.
-Texas has interest in Kelly Shoppach.
