-With the Cubs and Dodgers at a stalemate regarding Ryan Dempster, the Braves could jump back in, says Jon Heyman.
-Philadelphia is still weighing whether to trade Shane Victorino and other pieces, Danny Knobler reports.

-Rockies trade candidates include Marco Scutaro, Jason Giambi, Rafael Betancourt, Matt Reynolds and Jonathan Herrera, according to Jon Heyman. The  Rays, Nationals, Giants, Rangers and Yankees have interest in Scutaro.

-Joel Sherman: Boston wants a high end starting pitcher and an OF and had a Carl Crawford-Jose Reyes trade offer rejected. They want to get rid of Crawford “in the worst way,” Sherman said.
-Texas has interest in Justin Upton, Shin-Soo Choo, Zack Greinke and Josh Johnson, according to Jon Paul Morosi. *The Angels, Rangers and Dodgers have interest in Zack Greinke and James Shields.
-The Dodgers rejected a Cubs offer of Allen Webster for Ryan Dempster and may want Matt Garza instead, according to Jon Heyman.

Milwaukee likes prospects Martin Perez and Justin Grimm. Atlanta could offer Mike Minor, Randall Delgado or Julio Teheran, while the Angels could offer Garrett Richards, Peter Bourjos or CJ Cron. The White Sox, Orioles, Dodgers, Nationals, Blue Jays and Red Sox are other outside suitors. *Milwaukee wants young pitchers in return for Greinke, but Jon Heyman says they could be aiming too high. They reportedly asked Baltimore about top SS prospect Manny Machado.
