Seattle is interested in Edwin Jackson and Curtis Granderson, and Detroit would want hard throwers like Brandon Morrow and Shawn Kelley in return. -Jackson seems much more likely to get dealt than Granderson, says MLB.com’s Jason Beck.
-Buster Olney has more about the Yankees not being interested in Matt Holliday, possible interest in Marlins Ricky Nolasco and Jorge Cantu (I can’t see them dealing either) and the problem with the Giants signing Jason Bay.

-Though the Rangers are still keeping contact with free agents John Lackey, Vladimir Guerrero and Ben Sheets, they expect to be more active in the trade market rather than free agency, according to TR Sullivan. They have interest in Ben Sheets and will look to trade Brandon McCarthy.
-Jerry Crasnick has a new article up on the state of the Padres.

Dan Uggla is the top priority for the Marlins, the Giants want to resign Brad Penny and the Yankees, Cubs and White Sox have interest in Curtis Granderson. The Phillies would love to sign Chone Figgins but he reportedly wants five years an $50 million. Philly has interest in Mark DeRosa, Adrian Beltre, Placido Polanco and reliever Fernando Rodney. Washington may be trying to trade Christian Guzman and a few teams are interested in Josh Willingham. The Twins want to bring Orlando Cabrera back at 2B, Seattle has interest in Jason Bay and John Lackey and San Diego is in no rush to trade Adrian Gonzalez.
