-A full report from Ken Rosenthal and John Paul Morosi at Fox Sports: Pedro Martinez wants to come back for a full year in 2010. Seattle is interested in Edwin Jackson and Curtis Granderson, and Detroit would want hard throwers like Brandon Morrow and Shawn Kelley in return. Eight teams including Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Baltimore and Washington are interested in Billy Wagner, according to his agent.
-Jackson seems much more likely to get dealt than Granderson, says MLB.com’s Jason Beck.
-Buster Olney has more about the Yankees not being interested in Matt Holliday, possible interest in Marlins Ricky Nolasco and Jorge Cantu (I can’t see them dealing either) and the problem with the Giants signing Jason Bay.

The Twins want to bring Orlando Cabrera back at 2B, Seattle has interest in Jason Bay and John Lackey and San Diego is in no rush to trade Adrian Gonzalez.

Bobcats Acquire Stephen Jackson

It’s the end to Stephen Jackson’s tumultuous tenure with the Golden State Warriors. Charlotte has acquired the talented but mercurial swingman along with PG Acie Law for Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmonovic according to ESPN’s Marc Stein via Twitter. Radmonovic makes $6.46 million this year and has a player option for next year at $6.88 million and the versatile Bell’s contract expires after this season. Jackson’s contract runs through the 2012/2013 season, but he’s a very talented player who can flourish in the right environment. The two teams had a conference call to complete the trade, and it should be announced soon. Jackson brings another strong scoring presence to go with Gerald Wallace, and Golden State finally gets him out of here and gets back Bell, who should be a strong Nellieball player. Props to CBS Sports’ Ken Berger, who was right on this story and first reported the conference call was going on.
