NFL’s Week 6 WatchOut List
What to watch out for in today’s games
-Watch out for a weak Texans defensive backfield costing them field position in Cincinnati. Carson Palmer and the Bengals should take full advantage. Cedric Benson has been a workhorse but may not have to be today.
-Watch out for a Green Bay team in what’s probably a must-win game against Detroit with a week off to prepare. The Packers will go all-out to win this game and could blow the Lions right out of Lambeau.
-Watch out for the Vikings offensive line, because they’ll have a big task of stopping the exotic and varied blitzes the Ravens will try and throw at Brett Favre. After allowing a 100 yard rusher last week, Baltimore’s defensive pride will be on the line against the 5-0 Vikings.
-Watch out to see how the Saints handle the Giants pressure. The offense sputtered against the Jets and Big Blue’s defense may be better. Also watch out to see how the Giants handle a very underrated Saints defense.
-Watch out for an ugly one in Pittsburgh. Derek Anderson was awful last week and the Steelers smell blood. Cleveland is going with their third kicker of the season so watch out for some potential special teams issues as well. Also watch out for how well Willie Parker plays today when he gets the ball, it could be for his starting job.
-Watch out for DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. Tampa traded Gaines Adams to Chicago and are shorthanded up front, and the Panthers should try and stuff it down the Bucs’ throat.
-Watch out to see how two aging running backs will play in Washington today, Clinton Portis and Larry Johnson. The two seem like they’re towards the end, but a big play by either Santana Moss or Dwayne Bowe for a TD will win this game.
-Watch out for the Jaguars playing like a desperate team against the 0-5 Rams at home on Sunday, with plenty of carries for Maurice Jones-Drew. Will the Rams go 0-16 this season?
-Watch out for the Eagles trying to step on Oakland’s throat early so they can take out Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook as early as possible. It should not be too much of a problem for Philadelphia.
-Watch out for Arizona’s handling of Seattle’s suddenly excellent pressure and unheralded defense. Matt Hasselbeck is hot and playing at home, and the Cardinals need this win badly.
-Watch out for Tennessee trying to pound the Patriots on the ground with Chris Johnson and LenDale White, because their banged up secondary won’t be able to stop Tom Brady and the passing game with their depleted secondary. The best way to hide their secondary weakness is to hold onto the ball.
-Watch out for the Bills possibly playing the Jets tough in a division game. Mark Sanchez didn’t play so well in tough conditions against Tennessee, but New York’s defensive pressure will likely prove too much for Buffalo.
-Watch out to see how the Bears defense stops Michael Turner and how Jay Cutler reacts to a hostile environment inside the Georgia Dome. Sunday night should have a good one this evening.
