Brandon Roy Extension & J-Will return

Brandon Roy and the Blazers are very close to an agreement on a contract extension that would keep Roy in Portland for the long haul. “We’ve had very productive discussions recently and are optimistic we will reach a deal soon,” Bob Myers, Roy’s agent, said. Of course he is expecting the maximum with how he has turned around the franchise and that would be worth about $82 million over 5 years.

Jason Williams apparently had a very productive and impressive workout for the Knicks, but it became clear that both sides will most likely go in a different direction. One person came away from the workout saying that “he looked good…and was in great shape.” Williams is expected to begin talking with other teams, including the Memphis Grizzlies, once the Knicks’ exclusive rights to negotiate with J-Will expire on August 6th.
